

Our Faculty


Yolanda Ruiz
As Co-Director of All Children Great and Small, Yolanda Ruiz has contributed to the greatness of our curriculum and has been a leader to the teachers and community. Yolanda has a BA in Child Development with a specialization in Preschool Education from Walden University. She started working at All Children Great and Small in the summer of 1993 as a mentee to the founding Director of the school Morgan Graham, and was hired as a permanent teacher in 1994. Yolanda is a California State Certified Mentor teacher and guides Child Development students from LACC through their practicum studies at our school. Her voice and good nature contribute to our gentle atmosphere and fun energy. Yolanda brings the Spanish language into the classroom with songs, and within the context of community and culture. Yolanda brings welcoming warmth to our community every day and will sing just about anything if encouraged.

Adela Lemus
Adela Lemus has been working at All Children Great and Small since 2001. She has an Associates Degree in Child Development from LACC and is currently working on her BA in Early Childhood Development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. Adela is bilingual, weaving the Spanish language into the children’s day through conversation, contextual learning and the various activities throughout the school. Adela embraces the Great and Small philosophy of respect for children through creative exploration of our hands on curriculum. Adela is an integral part of our community, heading up our enrollment department and welcoming potential families to our school with warmth and kindness. Adela loves working with children, and would someday like to write a Spanish language children’s book.

Katie O'Donnell
As a Co-Director of All Children Great and Small, Katie is integral in keeping the school's progressive direction on track. Katie O’Donnell is a California State Certified Mentor teacher and earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College. She has been working at All Children Great and Small since 2006 and guides child development students from LACC through their practicum studies at ACGS. Katie adds rhythm and joy to our small school with her love of music and by playing the drums for our kids. Children are drawn to her kindness and easy personality. She loves her colleagues and she appreciates the school philosophy of respect for children.
